Enhancing Wellbeing at Eliwana: Alldin Delivers Turnkey Music Room Fit-Out for Fortescue

In the mining industry, operational efficiency and workforce wellbeing go hand in hand. At Fortescue’s Kartajirri Camp in Eliwana, a forward-thinking initiative set out to transform an underutilised room into something far more valuable: a soundproof, purpose-built Music Room designed to support the mental health and morale of FIFO workers.

Fortescue engaged Alldin to bring this vision to life, not only for what we build, but for how we build it.

From Empty Room to Engineered Escape

With a tight timeline and complex site logistics, the goal was clear: create a high-performance recreational space without disrupting day-to-day operations or compromising safety protocols.

Over three days, our FIFO-ready, in-house team delivered a complete fit-out, managing every detail from start to finish. The works included:

  • Safe removal of existing electricals, fixtures, and wall finishes
  • Installation of full-height acoustic wall and ceiling panelling
  • Supply and installation of heavy-duty, sound-absorbing carpet tiles
  • Reconfigured lighting and power solutions to suit recreational use
  • Full compliance with WA’s stringent mine camp construction standards

The result is a modern, insulated space that’s more than just a place to play music, it’s a dedicated outlet for stress relief, creativity, and connection. In an environment where downtime is limited and isolation is real, this room offers something essential: the freedom to switch off, even if only for a few moments.

“It’s more than a fit-out, it’s a wellbeing investment for those who live and work away from home.”

Supporting the People Behind the Operation

For those who fly in and fly out, the smallest comforts can have the biggest impact. Whether it’s strumming a guitar, listening to music, or simply finding a moment of peace, the new Music Room gives workers a space to decompress without leaving the camp.

And because it was delivered by Alldin, it came with guarantees few others can offer:

  • Rapid delivery in just three days
  • Remote-ready capabilities, with zero subcontractor delays
  • End-to-end project management under one contract
  • Full compliance, documentation, and site accountability
  • Minimal disruption to existing operations

No outsourcing. No downtime. Just results.
